In August, on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday the streets of Hoi An will be noise-free from engines. This will make walking very pleasurable for pedestrians. Rickshaws, bicycles and energy-vehicles will still circulate in the ancient town, but power-bicycles will be banned.

The Hoi An Town authority and people have tried their best to attract tourists. Programs such as the full moon night in the ancient town, which is often held on the 14th day of lunar calendar, and Night Street, which is often held on festivals, still remain.
