According to Nguyen Manh Hung, General Director of the Hanoi Tourist Corporation, the Hanoi People’s Committee will approve the racecourse planning in March. Three months after the project is approved, the Hanoi Tourist Corporation will fulfill investment formalities to implement the project in late 2007.

The project will be carried out in two phases: (1) site clearance and building technical infrastructure; (2) building a complex of hotel, resort, and amusement facilities to serve tourists.

The Hanoi People’s Committee in 2005 agreed on the construction of a racecourse and ecological tourist zone in Hanoi and assigned the Hanoi Tourist Corporation to negotiate with its British partners about the details.

The Hanoi Department of Planning and Architecture has introduced two sites for building the racecourse in Soc Son District.
