Hai Phong Travel Festival to have beauty queen

Hai Phong will organise a travel festival in Do Son Town from April 24 to May 1 with various activities, including a sea beauty contest, buffalo fighting, boat racing and water-skiing.

According to organisers, the sea beauty contest will attract candidates from coastal areas throughout the country, not only from Hai Phong Vietnam as in previous years.
An international sculpture camp will be part of the festival. Forty-two works by Vietnamese and foreign sculptors will be exhibited.
Hai Phong festival, During the festival will be performances by artists from China’s Yunnan, Hong Kong and Macau and the Republic of Korea’s Inchon.
Gourmets will be happy with a food festival, where the atmosphere of a fishing village with sea specialties will be re-created.
The festival is expected to be the largest cultural and travel activity in 2007 in HaiPhong city Vietnam.
On May 1, Quang Ninh province will also hold the Ha Long tourism festival with a great parade on the streets of Ha Long city.
